Accounts Receivable Supervisor

The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounts receivable function, managing collections, credit reporting, and providing training and mentoring for two direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzes accounts receivable aging reports; investigates and resolves past due invoices, short payments, and inaccuracies; researches and applies credit memos when appropriate
- Manages customer set-up and account inquiries, updates customer records, and runs credit reports for existing and potential future customers
- Manages the collections process including developing strategies to reduce write-off exposure, identifying accounts requiring external collection efforts, preparing reports and summaries for accounting leadership, and maintaining progress notes
- Manages foreign insurance requests and renewals; monitors PACA license expiration dates and files PACA claims when needed
- Manages month-end closing processes, reconciles cash receipts, and follows up with Business Managers regarding outstanding payments
- Hires, trains, manages, and mentors accounts receivable specialists; provides backup coverage for team as needed
- Assists with audits and special projects
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years related Accounts Receivable experience required, including previous supervisory experience
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and ERP software; Microsoft Dynamics and/or Business Central experience a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail with excellent follow through
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet competing deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- This position works onsite in our Watsonville, CA, office
Compensation and Benefits:
The target hiring range for this position is: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour. Compensation is based on a variety of relevant factors, including prior work experience, skills, professional qualifications, and internal pay equity.
