Customer Account Coordinator
Watsonville, CA
The Customer Account Coordinator supports Customer Business Managers and Sales Executives in ensuring overall satisfaction, success, and profitability for assigned customer accounts. This includes the timely and accurate processing of contracts, purchase orders, and shipping schedules; monitoring customer forecasts; problem solving order issues; and ensuring on-time deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter contracts, purchase orders, and sales memos into database and maintain updated online repository of pricing quotes, customer contracts, and packaging art files
- Prepare and distribute daily sales and margin reports and weekly order status reports; analyze changes to shipping schedules, impact to customer, and viable solutions to concerns
- Review open orders weekly to ensure updated to correct month, review open contracts bi-monthly to ensure dates and balances are up to date, and review inventory budgets for vendor managed inventory and replenishment programs quarterly
- Compile Certificate of Analysis, packing lists, FDA proceeds, and quality paperwork for each load deliveries
- Coordinate, package, and send frozen samples to customers as needed
- Create sales presentations for quarterly business reviews or customer visits and participate in onsite customer meetings as needed
- Assist in coordinating of trade shows, customer conferences, and expositions and attend as participant
Required Skills and Experience:
- B.S. in business or agriculture field and 2+ years related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience – internships count toward experience); food industry experience a plus
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP system experience a plus
- This position works onsite in our Watsonville, CA, office with occasional flexibility to work from home
- Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized with strong time management, project management, and prioritization skills Skilled problem solver with ability to exercise good judgment with minimal work direction
- Proactive, collaborative, and self-driven with ability to work well independently or with a team
- Ability to multitask and work effectively with conflicting priorities and changing deadlines
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed
Compensation and Benefits:
The target hiring range for this position is: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour. Compensation is based on a variety of relevant factors, including prior work experience, skills, professional qualifications, and internal pay equity.
